THE TEAM
Who We Are
Our highly professional team has experience in full-time education, outdoor-instructing, youth work and sports coaching both internationally and UK-based over the past 20 years. Staff have a broad spectrum of experience including: managing busy watersports centres; leading education programmes for young people with challenging behaviour; and managing local authority youth services provision. These roles have included instructing in many outdoor disciplines including trekking, climbing, mountain biking, windsurfing, snowboarding, sailing, powerboating, orienteering & kayaking.
With this wealth of experience, High Tracks Adventure Learning is able to provide high-quality planning and delivery for its core business: organising Duke of Edinburgh's Award expeditions for school groups in Surrey (UK) and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications: All instructors have a walking group leading qualification from a recognised governing body, such as the Mountain Leader (Summer), and the Walking Group Leader awards accredited by Mountain Training UK and Ireland. All instructing staff have first aid qualifications.
Child Protection: All staff have current enhanced police checks (via the Disclosure & Barring Service).
SIMON
Director / Instructor
Simon has worked in the outdoor industry and youth work all his adult life, with experience in mountaineering, watersports, wintersports and the management of large outdoor centres. Simon has delivered Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions to young people from all backgrounds for over 20 years. He has always had a focus on young peoples learning and development and maximising their achievements.
STEVE
Director / Instructor
Steve has a vast experience of Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and the delivery of open award centres. Steve delivers in the classroom as well as out on the hill, with experience in mountaineering, watersports, youth work & retail management.
WAYNE
Instructor
Wayne is an experienced instructor working with us in the classroom and out on the Hill. Wayne has a great knowledge of the outdoors as working full time in the industry with experience in hill walking, watersports and youth work.
HAYLEY
Lead Instructor
Hayley is a qualified summer and winter mountain leader whose passion is the outdoors. Hayley is our lead instructor, and has been working with us for many years delivering Duke of Edinburgh expeditions to young people.

We also have an amazing groups of freelance instructors who have worked consistently with us on bronze / silver and gold expedition over the years.
